Default SPEAKERS KEEP SHUTTING OFF

I recently installed a pionner premier GM-X432 Amplifier I got from a friend to get my speakers running again. I installed the amp and connected everything power, ground, remote, speaker wires etc. The problem I am having with the amp is that when I turn it up too loud it shuts off until i lower the volume, then it turns back on. I currently have all 4 speakers bridged on the amp, and I am just wondering if this is the right setup, or if it will pose any harm to my speakers. I am also not sure if it is a 2 channel or 4 channel amp. It has the speaker wire terminals that of a 4 channel amp which is confusing me. I am running in the back 2 Alpine Type S 6 1/2 speakers i believe they are component speakers but i am not running the tweeters.... In the front I am using 2 5 1/2 MB Quart speakers.
I want to know why this kind of thing is occuring because it was happening to my old amp 2 months after I installed the system, then they went out. Please help, thanks

The problem is that you're overloading it with two pairs of speakers... It's a 2 channel amp.

Yeah, the amp is overheating. Do you have the speakers wired in parallel or series?

Overheating may be the problem, however I do not think it's because of "overloading" the amp is stable @ 2ohms, [2x50W RMS into 2 ohms] and as far as I can remember both the Alpine and the MB Quart are 4 ohm speakers.

Also the problem was there before, so my guess is a minor short on a speaker lead, maybe the speaker terminals of the MBs in the doors.

Try this, balance all the way to the left and right turning up the volume when only the left or right is on, does the amp still cut out either way. 94
