fuel gauge does not work

Default fuel gauge does not work

my fuel guage does not work it is stuck on "F". how can i fix this with out buying a new cluster?

what kind of car what kind of cluster? you can usually get that seperate fromt the cluster check slhonda.com and go though the parts and u will be set. i had to do this to my 99 si cluster i got. good luck

the car is a 95 honda civic ex. it has the stock cluster.

if its manual part number is 78130-SR3-A22 showing price of 86.08
if its auto part number is 78130-SR3-A32 same price as above might be cheaper to find a used cluster

did you mess with the cluster recently?
It's one a few things:

- You messed with the clusters and put the wrong screws back into the fuel gage and it is not making propper connections - hence reading full.

- check the fuel gauge send unit by the gas tank. disconnect it. if it drops, the problem might be there.

a friend of mine changed it over from a auto to a manual but it worked fine. where is the sensor you are talking about?
