its short and simple whats not to understand about it? well ill explain in detail then. Ok i blew my y8 so i bought a y7 to swap in its place. The ecu in it is still the y8 ecu im BUYING a y7 ecu so it'll run smoothly. Does the y7 ecu have to be for a automatic or a manual? My Y8 ecu is for a manual trans.

Okay, that's much better.

Is the y7 you bought an auto or manual?

Is your car an automatic or a manual? You can answer your own question. Use an automatic ECU for an automatic car, and vice versa for a manual.
