obdII ------> obdI
ok im having a brain fart but i have an obd2 motor, that replaced an obd1 motor. i reused the wiring harness from the obd1 motor and the ecu is obd1. im still having problems w/ fuel pressure. If the fuel line to the regulator is pinched it works fine but it is only temproary. ive tried switching injectors, and disconnecting the reistor box and nothing seems to work. im sure its something simple but someone point it out.
chassis=92 si
motor was=h23
motor is now=h22a '97
do i just need a bigger pump, larger injectors, new FPR or do i need to switch ecu's, or gte a conversion harness?

you need to run the h22a1 injectors with the resistor box and h22a1 ecu. if you the stock h23 injectors are 240cc = nono
the stock h22a4 injectors 290cc = nono
the stock h22a1 injectors 345 =

ok that would make sense, im assuming it causes it to run lean, but are the h22a1 injectors obdI or obdII? or does it matter? thanks for the info

yea the injectors are different...this is a common issue with a4 swaps im confused why you couldnt find anything
the h22a4's are saturated
while the h23 are peak and holds (hence the resistor box)
keep the resistor box and swap some h22 injectors onto your h22a4
if your using the obd2 h22 computer than you could wire up the h22a4 saturated injectors to work

fuel pressure has nothing to do with injectors
if you have a pinched fuel line and are asking why you have low pressure you deserve a BFH blow to the head
if you are not getting enough fuel its because you used obd2 injectors...the obd1 harness and car have the resistor box, so just swap in some obd1 injectadores and blast away

well i have tried both series injectors, obdI and obdII, neither of which worked. i also disconnected the resistor box and wired the obdII injector clip into the harness and didn't see any change. and the motor is a jdm h22a not an a4. however both are obdII and i couldnt use either injectors. the reason i asked was not because i haven't researched or tried everything i though was a poosible cause but maybe i overlooked something. and i have the obdI injectors in there now and im definately not blasting away. i just have the wrong obdI injectors in there apparently.
aight back from the dead, i changed injectors and still not working. possibly FPR? i noticed a difference in the get up and go, but i still have to pinch the line going to the fpr. i know its due to fuel but its not the injectors? any more suggestions?
