Default turbo manifold construction help

I was talking to this guy and he said he makes manifolds with Heavy wall Stainless Steel construction sch 10 to be exact, with 1/2" flanges. Ok so from what I understand is sch has to do with thickness? I saw that neukin uses sch 40 is that thicker? I would make sense. I just mainly was wondering if this was thick enough?

Yes, schedule 40 is thicker. There's a crazy trend on this site and a few others of making everything out of at least schedule 40 and if its not, it will crack and your car will burst into flames. Schedule 10 will work fine along with much thinner materials, but with some of the thicknesses (such as 16 gauge) you'll want to brace the turbo. You should be ok though.

So are most companies neukin, full-race, lovefab, etc making the manifolds out of sch 40 8 gauge? Really new to this steel stuff? The guy makes nice welds and has made mani's with no problems so far with a lifetime warranty. Just want to make sure before buying anything.

If it has a lifetime warranty then you shouldn't worry about it. He's obviously confident in his product, and if by some chance it does break, it has a lifetime warranty!

yeah but downtime and hassle of taking off and putting back on and shipping. Just want to make sure. He uses 12 gauge or about .1 thick walls I think. Is this enough
