Default This material good for headflanges?

What do you guys think about this material for headflanges?

I could find following material here in Germany and think it should be possible for headflanges.
Ingredients: 0.35-0.45%C (carbon)
0.20-0.4.%Si
1.3-1.6%Mn
0.035%Pphosphorus
0.035%Sulphur
1.8-2.0%Chrom
0.15-0.2%Molybdenum

What do you think about that. The Mildsteel 1018 - that most guys in the US seem to use is not available here.

In the past I took 304 for my headflanges but had a lot of problems with shrinking of the material while welding. So I´m hardly searching for a good alternative material.

This is chrome-moly steel. Good stuff, but it will be a bitch to cut. Chrome-moly steel is about as hard as any steel you can buy.

You need more carbon, less rare earth alloys.

Why do you think I should take a material with more carbon?
If I compare it to the mildsteel 1018 (what most companys like fullrace and lovefab use) it has nearly the same contend of carbon. (0.36-0.42%).
I was told by several people to take a low carbon steel.

I´m still a bit unsure about the additional crome and molybdenum. My thought was that it gives the material a little more corrosion resistance.

What do you think about the weldability of that material with 321stainless tubes?
Is it right to take 347filler rods?

Is mildsteels as critical as stainless in point of warping and shrinking while welding?

Other thing: or is a better choise to take a material without any chrom and molybdenum?
