Axle slipping out of transmission
So my passeneger side axle is slipping out from the transmission causing me not to be ably to move my car at all. I have a civic with a 97 GSR swap and b16 hydro tranny. What make/model/year did the tranny come from?....anyone ever had this problem?

Yeap, anytime too short of an axle is used, and the car is turned or put into a full lock turn.
Just purchase the axle for a 95 GSR (with or with/out abs -according to your car)

Yup.
Yup.
So the axles that were on the swap originally were the Delsol axles...I just talked to my mechanic and he tried 97 GSR axles and he said they are too short....what is going on?...I thoguht they would work for sure?
I wonder if its an issue with the fact that you are using a cable trans on there... It would surprise me ... but thats about the only other factor I can think of.
Normal B swap... in a 92-95 civic uses 94+ integra axles.... any of them (unless specifically requiring abs).
With cable trans... i think we all assumed its the same... call hasport and ask them. (i'm guessing you are using their cable to hydro conversion kit?

So I decidedto take my car to someone who specializes........im gonna take it to Pruven Performance in Milford, CT.......im gonna buy the axle.....do i need both or just the passenger side thats slipping out?
you technically have 3 seperate axles on a b-series. driver side, passenger side, and intermediate shaft. the driver side axle locks into the intermediate shaft, and the intermediate shaft goes into the tranny and has a bracket on it that bolts to the back of the block. just replace whatever side is slipping out. both sides lock in seperately and are independant of eachother, so if one is correct and the other is not, then just replace the incorrect one. also another note for you. doublecheck your axle to make sure it has a lock clip on the end of the shaft. the end that slides into the tranny should have a deep groove near the tip, and in that groove is where the clip sits. it looks just like a metal ring but with a small opening cut out on one side, and the clip should move around a little inside the groove. just make sure cuz i've bought brand new axles that didnt come with the clips (must've slipped by Q.C. at the manufacturer i guess)
^ that could be the case bu it does sound like his axle is too short.
I had this same problem with my h22 hybrid ej coupe and the only way to solve it was using the prelude end on the integra axle...never had a problem since.

Pruven Performance sucks.....they don't like to return phone calls.....don't know how many times I called......but I took it to someone elese and the put a GS-R axle in.....knock on wood, so far, so good.
