Could be your clutch....you ever smell burnt clutch before?

The odor will linger a little bit. If you know that it's not clutch, then I'm not sure.

you should check for a dead rat under your hood...im not joking...i was at my buddies house the other day, he popped his hood, and a huge *** rat was chillin by the firewall...it started crawling around, so he shot it in the head with a BB gun...i know this story sounds terriblt rediculous...but i swear its true...

Thanks for all the inputs guys

I only have my new clutch installed and drove 1500 miles or so

what would i do to damage or burn the clutch? and what kinda smells is that?

I am should theres no dead rats under my hood
hahahha nice one though

But you know what's funny, i think the smells might came from the tires
coz when i redline it and shifting sometimes the wheel spins and stuff....

radiator?
Oh yeah i was thinking it might have something to do with the radiator too.

ok here's the thing
i did auto to manual conversion few weeks ago
after the swap i found out there were some kinda oil leaking so i went back and double check with the shop right.
they told me that was the cooler oil for auto's, Manual doesn't need it...... so here comes the question....
Doesn't Standard need some kinda fluid to cool down...
and i also found out that the fan doesn't run these days...

any ideas?

can you elaborate on the smell? burnt clutch smells like burnt brake.. you kno.. that friction material smell... is it just an odor? I remember when i smoked up my stock tires (i wanted to wear them out so i could get rims)... i had smoke pouring/billowing out of the wheel wells and smoke (like ciggarette smoke/gassy) into my air vents.. hahah

Well, I'd say it's probably your clutch. You know what burnt rubber smells like right?

Clutch smells pretty nasty. If you shift hard and fast, you might get a lingering odor. It's nuthing to worry about. That's why people tell you, if you shift hard and fast like that, it's more wear on your clutch.
