Default ls/vtec vtec problems

ok guys i have a question..i just finished my ls/vtec and when i threaded the oil hole i used about a 1/2" long plug and made that go about a 1/4" into the head.for some reason my vtec will not work..its like there is no oil for the vtec switch over.the solinoid is fine.is there a oil port that runs over to the other side that low in the head ??? i am thinking the plug was to long and is blocking an oil passage...anyone know ?????

What size line did you use to run the oil from the block to the head?
Is your oil clean/full?
Check the vtec s.noid Screen?
Whats your oil pressure like?
Are you throwing any codes?

You might have enough oil pressure to run and drive the car, but that dosent mean you have enough for vtec. Put the -6an on and see if that works...

I used to run 1/4" line. Never a problem. Most likely its not the size of the line.

yeah check that plug, it might be too long. the -4 line shouldn't be a problem, it should give you more oil pressure if anything.

NO,not comming out of the head..i screwed the plug about a quarter inch into the head..so its about 3/4 to 1 inch to the tip of the plug ,screwed in that oil port.

ya.i should of done that...besides the dam plug i had was long as hell..the golden eagle plug is realy short.i just hope the plug is not to long and blocking a oil passage..it will suck to have to take the head back off..lmk if you happen to see a oil port that low in the head..thanks man

well i went today and put the golden eagle kit back on it..i also bought a oil pressure gauge and have it all hooked up ..its around 30 at 1400 rpm's around 50 at 2500 rpms..gets as high as 80 psi at times..dam cops were all over by my shop so i could not test drive it..i unscrewed the plug on the other side by the sel. and it has oil so its getting over there..maybe the sel. is bad..i can hear it click but maybe its not opening..beats me..i am going to get a new sel and see what happens..
