low oil pressure no vtec
what causes low oil pressure, besides the oil pump which i already changed.
here the story.. i have no vtec i think due to the oil
i had a gsr in my car, then i swap it to a ls vtec. same head just went with ls bottom end, and now no vtec. i did the oil line from block to head thats fine.
the wiring is fine i also have an apexi vtec controller so that activates the vtec soilnoid no matter what by the way i also checked to make sure it sending power. also the vtec soilnoid and pressure switch is good, i also changed it with another one. i was reading somewhere someone said something about an oil restrictor between the head and block, where is it between the head and block and what does it look like.
so if anyone has the answer to my problem please let me know

The oil restrictor is for the cylinder head oiling. only oil for vtec is by either the line or the pasage which is plugged now. Check your oil level, and then the wiring.
Maybe the oil line is clogged?

i know the oil restrictor is for the head and not the vtec but i was asking if there is any way that can cause low oil pressure like a seal not being there or something. also all the wiring is fine and the vtec oil line is not cloged, one way i know is if you take the vtec solinoid off the head and start the engine oil flows out with out a problem and i also changed the line like 3 times.
Sounds to me like a classic case of "chode on the VTEC screen"! remove your VTEC solenoid (3-10mm bolts) and inspect the VTEC solenoid seal/debris screen. If there is enough gunk on the screen, replace the seal/screen (just a few bucks from Honda). This should restore your head oil pressure, thus VTEC. Give that a shot! Good luck!
