which fuse for DA integra for compression test ?
Everywhere I read says to remove the 15amp fuse but they are all for DC integras. Which fuse would I remove for a DA integra so no fuel will be sprayed into the cylinders. I want to know because last time I did a compression test without removing the fuse, my car wouldnt start anymroe because I blew the coil.
1. Remove the Main Fuel Relay Under the Dash (beside the steering wheel column)
2. Disconnect the distributor connections (2 of them)
And dont forget to hold the gas pedal to the floor while you're cranking the motor.

ok.. DA right? the Main Fuel Relay is under the dash panal that covers the steering column.
I think there are 4 screws holding this panel in. do you know what im talking about? its the only 1 panel there.
Now once you take that off. if you are in the seat, look towards the top inbetween the steel brace or whatever you wanna call it. You will see a Black relay that says like 15amp i think it is. it is to the LEFT of the steering column, and its the only one in that area. you can see it if you are looking at it like you were sitting in the seat with your head kinda bent over tring to look under the dash. It is the only BLACK Relay in the area.
understand? you need to unclip the 2 plastic clips that attach to the relay, and push the clearish colored socket down and off of the relay. the relay is screwed onto the frame. once you unplug it, you are good.
let me know.

All you need to remove is the 15amp PGM-FI fuse under the hood. It will disconnect the power from the ECU and the fuel pump wont prime without the ECU. You dont have to touch the distributor or the main relay which is harder to get to than the ECU fuse.

You know if it was that easy on a DA, I think I wouldn't have made this thread in the first place.

wow you do it the hard way. all you need to do is unplug the connections to the dizzy and unplug the 10amp ecu fuse in the engine bay fuse box

easier to just open the engine bay fuse panel and pull the 10amp fuse.lol<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by redDAinteg »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

yes that will work you disable the ecu and no feul will be pumped into the engine. and unplugging the connectors to the dizzy will stop the igniton and won't fry the coil. i did the same thing as you...i did my first compression test and forgot to unplug the dizzy and i fried my coil. that was a hundred bucks that i didnt have to spend that day...haha
