I think alot more information is needed to answer this question.
like....... what motor this head is going on. If your going to use any type of EMS.

its going onto a b18b1.. i have a chipped/socketed p28..but i plan on using a stock gsr intake.. smarter to get dif intake or keep it and stick with the p28?...
a p72 is going to have a really low vtec cross over point. and it has secondaries, so if your not running a vtec controller or a GSR intake manifold you might lose some mid range power because a p72 also has secondaries. i think you can disable your secondaries with a vtec controller.
a p28 would be best if its chipped and tuned professionally. but if not i'd be safe and stick with the p72

you can always use the stock gsr im. The obd1 p72 is able to use the secondaries. You can chip the ecu and change the settings to get more power. Make sure to use a reputable tuner. You can do a street tune with a wide band o2 or better yet take it to a dyno and have a pro show you how. Just follow along with what they are doing. Don't be afraid to ask questions since your paying the outrageous rate per hour for this service.
