Rod knock....
Disclaimer: Im not a newb, but Im still learning, please bear with me, I REALLY dont need flaming at a time like this.
Okay heres the deal, Im pretty sure I have rod knock, internal knocking sound coming from the bottom of the engine which increases with rpms. Is there anyway to fix this without spending an arm and a leg (maybe a bit, but not too too much) or getting another engine? or can this be diagnosed as another problem? Please help, Im jobless in school and I was already hurting for money before this!!! And once again, I really dont need flaming at a time like this..

the real generic way to get it fixed is to pull the oil pan pop off all the rod caps and put in new bearings that are 1 step bigger than you have then close it all back up. this will get you by for a short while till you can do it right.
i new d15b7 shouldnt be like more than $300 for EVERYTHING. I sold my full d16z6 for $500 and that was still working.
d15s are the bottom of the bucket int he honda world you can get a user coplete engine for cheap

I had a beater 90 integra that I delivered pizzas with, it began to rod knock, so I pulled the pan and put std size bearings in it. The #3 bearing was worn out, but it didnt spin, and it didnt tear up the crank. I didn't think it would last long, but I put over 10,000 hard miles on it and sold the car, I still see it running around town. The person that bought the car knew about the bearing when he bought it. He beats the **** out of the car everyday. He told me that it smokes so bad, he started running 80w90 gear oil in the motor!
But it just wont give up!
