Default Finding a hard rear brake line? *searched*

Managed to twist the line in half while detaching it from the wheel cylinder, the one in between the wheel cylinder and the rubber line.

A junkyard run isn't really an option, I need it quickly. Does anyone know where I could find one of these? I'm dubious to line repair, but if finding a replacement is going to be a pain (or take more than a day) I'm open to it.

As usual, any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.

The napa near me has straight brake lines that just need to be bent. I would give that a shot.

any autoparts store has varying lengths of straight brake line. Just gotta bend it a bit and ur good to go. I did exactly what you did to both of my rears.

I've gotten the lines bent and on there, but I'm getting fluid leakage out the top of the fastener. I already stripped one line tightening it down too much, do I need to be using some kind of sealant?

isn't this the short line? if so, just get it from the dealer. Shouldn't cost much.

did you get the proper flare on the line?, you do not need any sealant, when tightened it seals

expletive going to napa and trying to bend it yourself, and all these lame answers these guys are giving you.

go to your nearest dealership, get the correct part the first time, and finish it that day.

i work for honda also..... so i know what you do....

you go into the parts department and order the correct part.

no technicain goes to napa and bends his own pipes...... TRUST ME.

half the technicians out there are part swappers.... not real mechanics.

BTW, the exact part he needs is less than $80. from the front of the car to the rear brakes..... pre cut, bent, and flared.

Acually, I needed the ~10" part that goes from the wheel cylinder to the rubber line, bending it was no big deal, and it came pre-flared. The issue is possibly with the flair style, I went over to Napa on my lunch break and the guy suggested trying the other type they had.

I also tried going over to my local Honda dealership, but they decided to close an hour early today, 5 minutes before I got there.

I got new ones from the dealer, they are pre-bent, have the fittings and the rubber coating on them, only like $20 per side. Worth it.
