How Exactly do you re-flare brake lines?
Well long story short-
Hit a curb, I'm replacing the bent rear trailing arm. Everything is ready take off except the brake line. Brake line nut is old and soft, used a flared end wrench and its still stripping the head. Looking for someone to explain if I can re-flare the brake line tomorrow since I need to get my car running again and am not sure what re-flaring is. Thanks.

Re: How Exactly do you re-flare brake lines? (ill phil)
flaring is for the actual lines themselves
unless you need to replace the lines and make new ends you will not need to do this.
to do it you will need a flaring tool. their pretty cheap and with a little practice can be done fairly easily.

Cool, I guess I didn't elaborate enough. The nut on the hard line that accepts the soft line from the brakes is pretty much completely stripped and I may have to cut the line to put a new nut on. So at this point I take it I would reflare and put the new nut on? (with the tool of course)

Flaring tool.....pffffff.....well it would make it easy. You
just need to make the end of the line bigger so that
it wont slip out of the nut.
