Default Save boost on stock internals JDM B16A

Hi all.

I swaped a JDM B16A in my CRX. Everything is fine so far.

Now I want to boost it by a turbo charger. What is the max BHP and max boost a JDM B16A can handle with stock internals?

I remember something as 225BHP. But I don't trust my memory

What do you guys think about this?

most of what i heard says that a honda block is good till 15 punds of boost or double the stock horsepower output of the engine, because hondas cylinders are almost completly free standing from the block and after that amount of horsepower they start to float

Around 300-325 whp with a good tune(Assuming the motor is healthy),,They can make more then that but how long will they last..

I don't think there is a true Solid Max HP # you can make, it would vary motor to motor. But Mr. Speaker is correct, 300-325 is easy, just depends on how long you want it to last. If you are wanting 225 you can do that even easier all day long.

i suggest you change the head gasket to lower the compression...

but dropping compression is a good thing to do also when going boost, tuning is always a very big part of it

Dropping compression allows for more tuning error, doesn't have to be so precise.
