this is what i did.
Car should be warm but not too warm cuz you dont wana ruin the plug threads when removing the spark plugs.
remove all 4 spark plugs.
i unclipped my injector so no fuel would enter the cyl's
Install compression guage to cyl #1
Crank engine over 4-5 times( hold the throttle Wide open)
repeat on cyls 2,3,4
record reading.
probably around 180psi for your h23

thats the problem...the motor wont turn over enough to start....so it wont be warm.

well i did the compression testing.....number 1 is at 180.....2,3,4...nothing...so im assuming the valves are bent...correct?

just take out the fuel pump fuse under the steering wheel. it'll be easier than trying to unhook the injector clips. i doubt that your not getting comp. on 3 cylinders. are you sure the threads aren't stripped out for the plugs? it should thread in there and be a bit snug like a spark plug, but finger tight. on my h23 i had 170 across the board.

ill try that..but not getting fuel...wont that make the motor not want to crank over at all? in not that hnda smart yet. i know all the basics...but when it comes to motor internals...im a novice..soo all this is learning for me

You pull the fuse so you dont inject any fuel into the cyls while doing the compression test.( if fuel gets into the cyls it will make the a/f ratio very rich and be hard to start back up after the test) The starter motor is what turns the engine over to start it, the engine doesnt need fuel or air to turn over, but to run it does. ok?

ive never seen it but i dont have that much experience, does the guage you bought use a rubber hose type or is it a straight piece, just make sure and snug up the connectors on the gauge after each cyl. you should be getting some psi

it was a rubber hose that had a high pressure air connector to the pressure guage.

ya mines like that too, after screwing it in and out the little adapter gets loose so that may be why you got 0psi.
