Car wont start after compression test
alright guys i need help big time!! i forgot to take the fuel pump fuse out before doing a compression test. so now my engine is flooded. I've taken all the plugs out and cranked the motor for a while, then put the fuse back on and still won't start..even with open throtle. I've done this like 4 times and no luck..any other suggestions??

Man U FTW
If its flooded and you tried "clear flood mode" by holding the throttle to the floor and cranking, then just wait a little while. Gasoline evaporates rather quickly. Soon your car should start up just fine.
Take all the plugs out and let it sit for an hour or two...

Re: Car wont start after compression test (crazyguy)
check you compression again. If any of the cylinders come up low all the fuel washed the oil off the cylinder walls and the rings arent sealling. If any are low or no compression put a few squirts of oil in the low cylinders and crank the engine until she fires. It might run ruff until everything gets lubbed again but it will smoth back out

I assume you didn't disable the ignition either? You may have killed the coil. Have you checked for spark?

BINGO Coil is toast. The coil is designed to charge and discharge. If it charges and charges without discharging it will burn up.

No i didn't, maybe you're right. i let the plugs dry for two hours and still won't start..I know i'm running rich and when i crank the motor the car smells a lot like gas.

If that LSVTEC has a distributor, you have a coil. Have you checked for spark?
