remote starter in a hybrid
Does anybody have any experience with installing a remote starter in a hybrid car? I have talked to a few people and some say it can be done and other say it can't, something to do with the voltage given off by the hybrid. any info would be nice.
A remote start system operates by replicating what happens when you turn the key. It merely takes power and through a series of relays, transfers that power to the necessary wires in the ignition harness, ie: ignition, accessory, starter.
As long as it's fuel injected, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to install it.

Thanks, I called local businesses and the local Best Buy and they said that they wouldn't install into hybrids, they both gave voltage as the reason they wouldn't, saying that it's inconstant. I honestly don't see how it wouldn't work; I just wanted some opinions before I tried to do it.
Sorry don't know any more then you, but I do agree, I can't see why not, I have not done one yet, so I will phone our suppliers and ask, they have not sent any word on problems or not to do them.
