Your an *** Way to contribute to h-t.

I have run tubes in both sets of my slicks. I know a lot of guys do not run tubes. I noticed when my one tube had gotten a staple in it and was leaking that the slicks would leak air from the sidewalls I am not sure if that is from running low pressure and they crack or what. But if I did not run tubes my slicks would go flat super fast.

You must be an idiot then because I just did the same thing. You guys waste bandwidth with the same questions over and over.

Here are just a few becuase I got tired of copying and pasting. One simple search. Mr. Pressure I see why you got defensive because you are one who asked the same question instead of searching. One of those threads is yours.

And if you will look, I did answer your question. NO TUBES.

Actually asshat if you would have read my post I was not asking about if I need tubes or not. So next time get your facts straight before you try to flame, and trust me I search all the time.

Second: Half of those threads your copied and pasted did not even pertain to people asking if they should run tubes. **** you even had forsale ads in there.

alright, well let's just get over it. I talked to John from M&H directly, and he helped me out. I would suggest anyone else who needs help with this question do the same thing, because I know what to do now. Thanks John

OK so 9 of the 10 threads were the same or close question about tubes. The thing I am trying to say is that his question was answered many times is those threads. It just pisses me off when people ask the same exact question when there are several threads that already answer exactly what he wanted to know. He said he searched and found no threads, that is a lie because I just did it with the simple word TUBE and got about 50 hits. And several were the exact same question.

Ah, well then I apologize for all the negative comments. My dad would kick my *** if he knew I talked like that to a female.

No I do not use tubes in my m&h slicks and they hold air just fine.

Their has been talk in drag racing here about tubes, so I hope this helps.

#1 All M&H Slicks require tubes.

#2 When buying a tube you need to make sure it's a natural rubber racing tube.

#3 A racing tube = Metal valve stem, the rubber is twice the thickness of a standard tube and it will with stand the heat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#4 Before installing the tube in the slick.

#1 Air the tube up outside of the slick alittle to get the wrinkles out.

#2 Get baby powder and sprinkle it all over the tube, and then use a rag to wipe and cover all parts of the rubber and then let the air back out.

#3 Do the same with the inside of the slick and that way the tube will not hang up in the inside of the slick and rip the valve stem off the tube.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Putting a tube in the slick will that change the traction ?

#1 No
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why put a tube in ?

#1 The sidewall is so thin it will not take much to pop a slick, tracks are not always clean.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My # goal here is SAFETY and to make sure you go down the race track SAFE. A $ 100.00 pair of tube give you a better chance on not hitting the wall and somebody not getting hurt verses not having tubes and the cost factor in what you are going to have to spend on you race car. I have seen this to many times in my life and tubes are the way to go.

GOOD LUCK be ( SAFE ) in 2005 -06 season.

wow....nice post, as always, john

do tubes require any different kind of burnout or prep when checking and rechecking tire pressure? and do you recommend any different tire pressure when comparing tube to no tube?
