Clutch master cylinder is going out/leaking?
So the other day I hop into my car, and the clutch doesn't engage until i'm about 2-3 inches from the floor. Later that day, that distance gets shorter and shorter. One day later, my clutch just goes straight to the floor and stays there. I take a look at the master cylinder under the dash and see the carpet/firewall wet. So I'm about to replace the master cylinder (part costing $120 from dealership). The question I have is that after I bleed the system after the installation, will the pressure come straight back to the clutch? How do I get that pressure back once the new master cylinder is in?
Fill it with fluid and pump. it worked for mine. if it doesnt there is a bleeder vavle on the slave cylindar but you shouldnt have to worry bout it. 120 sounds steep tokico makes one for 40 bucks
Yes, if you bleeded the system after the installation, will the pressure come straight back to the clutch.
How do I get that pressure back once the new master cylinder is in?
- Bleed the slave cyl located on the tranny
Goodluck with the installation!
