Default Soft clutch pedal with ACT XTSS *PICS*

I started to put my setup back in the car tonight and I got the tranny on and everything went on alright. I used an ACT XTSS clutch kit. I put the clutch lines and slave cylinder on and the slave cylinder dust cover was filled with fluid. The pedal was also on the floor. Could this be a bad slave cylinder? Anyway, I pulled the pedal back up and bled the lines and go to feel the pedal. The pedal would go down about halfway before I felt any pressure and it didn't feel right either. I had an HDSS in my other car and it felt heavy as ****, this doesn't feel at all like it and it's a heavier pressure plate. I look under the dash to see liquid coming out of the clutch master cylinder, I'm guessing this is shot too. Would a leaking master cylinder make the clutch feel too soft. It was moving the slave cylinder fine, just doesn't feel right.

Id say its a bad master cylinder. Replace that bleed everything and see where your at. The clutch should be very stiff at first and gradually get easier to use and it losens up a bit (Few hundred miles) but it should still be almost twice as stiff as your stock clutch. I have the same clutch in my car and it is defiently harder to push and hold down the clutch then the stock so......

I just pulled off the cylinder, took about 10 minutes or so, I'll post a few pics of the results.

whenever you replace your clutch its always a good idea to get atleast a new master if not both master and slave cylinders...

Why would you want to replace those? When you replace brake pads you dont replace your capilers, and they put out a lot more pressure and deal with a lot more stress then the clutch hydros would anyday.......

Just curious with your reasoning behind this, not trying to be an *** like i normally am on here.

HaHa, you're right though. Replacing both master and slave cylinders? Why stop there? Get a new transmission too
