Default B16xx or b18xx

Hey guys. I'm planning a long term build up here on my hatch that just died. it has a zc motor that seized up. i love the car too much to just let go, so im buyin another car for daily driving, and building the civ for 85% track use. im tryin to get some numbers here though. which is the best of each motor (b16, and b18), like which one in particular. and, with those 2 out there, which one is cheaper to get parts for? im gonna guess its gonna be the b16. with those 2 motors out there, would like an ls/vtec be better than both, if built right? I plan on boosting the motor. I want a low 12 second car, minimum. ANy ideas here are highly appreciated. thanks guys

come on man this could be searched for.
You mean track like 1/4 or real track?
Are you really are asking for thoughts or facts?

If your aiming for real power I do say look into b18 over the b16.

Huh a ZC motor die NEVER! (sorry to hear that) On the bright side time for B18 power.

B18 will probably make more power than B16 depending on what you are doing.

As Ace said we need more info.

PS: time to change your avatar.

well, the reason im asking, is cuz i dont know enough about either motor. im still kinda new to the honda scene. as for changing my icon, ill do just that, once i pick a motor. haha. like i said im tryin to build a car with some sick *** power for track use (strait line, not autocross), but im trying to get the most bang for my buck (cost effectiveness) and keep it street legal, in case i gotta whip it out on the street for some reason.

happen to wear just a trench coat in public much

Not trying to be a dick but just search look in the drag racing section and F/I ones look at others builds that meet your goals.

I really would say its easier to do off a b18 block of sorts but read up and make up your own mind what will suit you best.
