removal of shift link pin
Hammer the hell out of it. You can use an 8mm punch or you can use the 1/8" rathet extension as a punch. It fits in there perfectly.
use a tapered punch, if you're chancing your clutch and droppin the tranny, don't bother hammering it from underneath, just pull it down with the trans and hammer the expletive out of it when it's on a bench, it's easier that way.
If you do that, remember to remove the other side of the linkage from the car first
Theres a tool now made for air chissels to remove the bitch pin.

i couldnt get it out when i tried with a punch and hammer, it just expanded it even more, either get a bolt that is the exact same size (i've heard the ac bolts fit well, as stated previously) but its not hard to just drop the shift linkage down, its actually probably faster, thats what i did when i changed my clutch

alright thanks for the ideas ill try the ac bolt and hammer first, if that doesnt work im pullin the motor so ill just drop the tranny first and do it that way
i would also suggest not putting a bitch pin back in, i put a lock nut and bolt in there and ti makes it 10000x easier to get out
