Default removing stubborn b!tch pin?

hey I am trying to remove my shift linkage from the wehicle and I can't seem to get the b!tch pin out of the tranny-side shift linkage.

any tips?

I've tried using an allen lunch and beating the **** out of the b!tch pin but it wouldn't come out.

Use a punch, and a BFH.

I always use a 12mm bolt, specifically the one out of the IACV on the back of the intake manifold. works every time for me unless the bitch pin is messed up.

there's a special punch for roll pins, it has a ball shaped thing on the end and it works amazing. Or if you have an air hammer, grind a pointed end down so that it will be narrow enough to push the pin out most of the way.
Roll pin punch:

If you get the pin all the way out, if you put a little more bevel on the pin using a file it's easier to tap it in with a hammer.

Be careful when using tools not made for it-you could either mess the pin up and have to replace it, or mess it up and get it really stuck. I actually bought a tool a while back a friend at a local Honda dealer told me about, and I absolutely love it. I can either use a BFH and knock it out, or it chucks into my air hammer to blast it out-no sweat. The problem with using a punch is you can damage the edges or expand it to stick it worse. The tool is made by Schley Products and has the part number 65650 on it. Runs about $20 and worth every penny. Hope this helps!!!!
