clutch squeels during engagement??

i'm not sure if this could be my throwout bearing or if my flywheel needs to be resurfaced...when i put it in gear it jest makes this god ofal squeeling noise..act six puck unsprung hub with heavyduty pressure plate...flywheel was turned down to save weight but never resurfaced i don't think...any ideas

do you mean actually placing the shifter into gear, or when you start to take off? Mine did the same thing when I would let out on the clutch and start to take off. Twas the flywheel needing to be resurfaced. Fixed the problem and hasn't done it in 10,000 miles.

That's the culprit right there. Pucked metallic clutches will ALWAYS squeal upon engagement. I had the 4 puck with the same pressure plate and had the same thing. It's just something we have to deal with.
