03 v6 manual transmission gone to shiii!
so my transmission finally went out after signs of going out. my shifter can will no longer go into its gears. i don't know whats the problem. my clutch feels soft so i tried bleeding it but no dice.
the only time i can drive it is if i start off on 1st gear by putting it in with the car off, but that's just it.
does anyone know what might be the problem before i take it to the dealer before hand?

It's a clutch replacement, call around your area for accurate quotes on a clutch job/replacement including throwout bearing

Should call a decent import shop first. Could be the difference between $300(what a local, reputable speed shop charges for taking the trans off/replacing it) and $1500 from a scamming dealership or typical repair shop because they just don't feel like going through the ordeal. I can't believe shops charge so much for a clutch job, I have a couple friends who do it for $75 and it takes them maybe two hours.

Re: (SIDEXIT)
Probably shavings from the shitty third gear they acknowledge is bad, but won't fix even though they came out with the TSB after half of the cars were out of warranty

Do you mind telling us how many miles on your car?

Thanks. I have 80+ on my 2006 Accord, so I wanted to have an idea. :-)
If it's just the clutch, it should not cost that much.
If it's the whole transmission, you probably want to consider a used TL-S six speed entire unit, since it'd come with an LSD. You'll have to decide among yourselves, you and your mechanics, whether or not it's worth the risk buying something used.

It's the CL-S George
And as far as I know, the CL-S 6 speed doesn't really have the synchro or shitty third gear problem, so that's something you don't have to worry about.

Is it? I thought people were putting the 2006 and 2007 TL-S six speeds in.

The 3.5 engines won't work with our trans, so I'm assuming the new TL-S trans won't work with our engines.
