what chip is in it? was it a boost chip or just some run of the mill performance chip? if it is idling like **** and running like ****, i think a compression and leakage test is in order.

it idles ok. what will happen if it leaks air thru the bov. also i don't see the internal wastegate moving when i give it gas or the bov realeasing pressure.

the wastegate will only move under boost, and it is possible you dont have the b.o.v. hooked up to manifold vacuum.

What kind of chip did you use? If you're using a chip with a map for different size injectors, or not made for a boosted car, it's going to run like crap.

but now my car is only boosting like 2psi. someone told me to get a manual boost controller cause the factory setting for the internal wastegate wont let it boost more than 2-5 psi. is this true?

You can't turn the boost down more than the internal wastegate, you can only turn it up, and I don't know of any T3/T4 turbos that have a 2 lb internal wastegate so I would say look for boost leaks? Does it feel like your only getting 2lbs of boost or does it feel like its boosting correct cause there could be a boost leak in your line to the gauge, just a thought.

your catalyic converter is clogged of you got boost leak. try running it in open downpipe and see if it spools
