Did you replace the input shaft bearing? Throw out bearing? Does it whine only when you put the clutch in, or at idle with no load?

More info

Does it whine with the clutch in or out?

Should have replaced both bearings while you were in there

only whines when the clutch is out either under accel or decel.the engine is relatively new only 70k miles and previuos owner was an o.a.p until 68k miles,so i didnt see any reason why i should have to change the bearings.

Its just a good habit, if you have something torn down like that to replace wearable items like bearings. Just something Ive always done, not necessarily a "have to" thing.

As for the whine, did you relube the input shaft going back into the bearing? Did you accidently damage the bearing moving it from one flywheel to the other? Did you put tranny oil back in? Dumb question I know, but it has to be asked.
