Default piecing small turbo kit on bb6...t28?

just want a low budget set up on my prelude good for daily driving around 7-9 PSI on stock internals. how well will a t28 turbo respond. i know it will probally spool pretty quick. ill also be running JRC FMIC, custom piping, 2.5 in downpipe, with (insert BOV here) BOV lol...fmu and 450 DSM for now, uberdata soon after

It would have some killer spool time and lots of mid-range, but probably not much power above 5000-5500 rpm. If I were you, I'd step up to a t3/t4 with something like a .63 turbine a/r and .60 compressor a/r. It will have much better top-end and won't need as much psi to get to the power level you want compared to the t28 (as well as a cooler intake charge).

I'm using a t3/t04e with similar specs on my bb6 and basically the same setup you listed, and I start making boost in the mid 2K rpm range.

By the way, you probably don't want to run an FMU with 450 injectors. The FMU is designed for stock injectors and will cause you to run extremely rich with the 450's.

i did have a t3/t04e that i never got around to putting on...i wish i held on to it though...stupid speeding tickets

if i can find one for a good price i would def. be happier with it. but i usually see them going for around 500-600 used or new. i paid 400 for mine, it was a good deal.

yea the FMU is only going to be temp, until i can swap to OBD1, and run uberdata. the max im gonna boost is 9 PSI and thats gonna be on a EBC, im gonna do about 7 daily

is your motor stock? what PSI? any problems daily driving?

PM me i would like to see pics of your set up if you dont mind

My motor is stock and I've been running about 5 psi for ~15,000 miles with a total of 100,xxx miles on my motor. I'm pretty sure my ringslands are going bad even though a compression test says otherwise. Still runs really strong though, just a lot of blow-by. As far as daily driving problems: none that I can think of. When I first finished my setup, I had some overheating problems on hot days while using the A/C, but everything has been great since I heat-wrapped my downpipe and manifold.

If I were you, I don't know that I'd run very high boost using the fmu. Even with uberdata, I wouldn't go above 7 psi since our motors have weak ringlands.
