Default Which turbo for my setup..?

Which turbo for my setup..?

Stock B16a
Log manifold with t3 flange
Plan on revving to 8,000rpm
Need power in the mid-high rpm range
HP goal is around 250hp-280hp ~ 10lbs of boost
Turboedit pm6 and 450cc dsm injectors

The turbos I'm looking at,,I've looked through the 6 pages of dynographs on evans-tuning website and can't decide..
-T3-super 60 ??a/r
-T3/t04e ??trim ??a/r
-T3/60-1 with .48 turbine

Any help is appreciated..

What do you'll think about the t3/60-1 .48 turbine..I can get it really cheap but I dont want the wrong turbo for my application,,

If you're only going for 280hp - it'll be too big.
I think the t3/t4e 60 trim .63 a/r is perfect for you - you'll actually be able to up the boost and won't max out the turbo until maybe ~420whp.

OK thanks,I have another Question,,The place that sells them offers either a stage1,2,3 wheel..Which one would be better and what do the different stages of wheels affect..? Spool time,Air flow,? Are the wheels actually different in size?

"The size of the wheel will have an effect on spool time (smaller=faster) along with turbine housing A/R however a bigger wheel will usually give a little more top end (providing it is matched properly with the compressor wheel). Much like having a huge turbo in general, thinking you need a large turbine wheel "just because" will most times hurt performance rather than help."

Smaller = faster spool up, however - you won't have the top end. So, if you plan to rev to 8k - get a stage 3. It'll be a tad bit slower spool up; however the turbo will still spool pretty quick. You can also get a ballbearing upgrade. It won't spool up as slow as an sc61, nor as fast as a t28 - but you get the picture. It'll be good.

wheels are diffrent in size. drastically i'd stick with the stage 3 turbne wheel to spin that 60 trim wheel. itll give it leverage to spin it more effciciently. not many garretts come with a stage 1 or 2 wheel. unless its a rebuild

for 280WHP at 10 psi definatley 60 trim t3t4. stage 3 turbine .63 AR housing.

it might take a hair pas 10 psi to make it though.

The t3/t4 I'm looking at isn't a garrett..It's a turbonetics unit and it actually says offered in stage1,2,3 and 4 wheels in they're catalog..

I dont want to go past 10psi because I'm keeping the stock MAP sesor so you know..I think I should hit my goal because I'll also be playing with the cam gears and maybe be getting get some 96+ gsr cams if I can find some for cheap..

60 trim would be good or run a holset hx35 or hy35, the holsets really like high pr's.

Edit, just read your power goals, if 250-280 is all you want then just get either of the holsets or a 50 trim.
