Will a test pipe make my check engine light go on? I have an OBD 2 car and have heard that it will set of the light.

 

Make sure the test pipe has a bung for the second O2 sensor.

 

It has a bung. Besides that do i have to wory about it?

 

Try and see. If you do throw a code then invest in an OBD-1 conversion. You'll have to put the cat back in to pass smog and you can always plug the stock ECU back in when you do.

what doesnt do anything.

you need go with obd1 ecu or o2 simmulater. engine light will not on, but still throw code, when you hook up the computer.

i have a test pipe on my 96 gsr (obd-2) it will throw a code but i have free accsess to a scanner so i turn it off.. i comes back on from time to time
