Default Disconnect fuel pump -- quick question.

I am towing my car to have the Crank Shaft bolt removed for $30, but I already have the head removed. I need to leave the battery hooked up because I have no door handels, so that is not realy an option. If I turn on the ignition, the fuel pump will pump fuel out onto the ground (no head, nothing for the other end of the fuel line). I have my back seat removed, can I simply unplug the wire going into the aluminum guard? I need to stop the fuel from running, but the ignition must be on so the steering wheel will turn. Should I unplug the ECU instead?

Thanks for any information/suggestions you can provide.

Or just pull the fuse.

Thank you! That was the obvious, but not so obvious answer. Worked well.
