Default just bought a gsr motor couple questions`

bought a 99 gsr motor the motor sat in a wrecked car for 5 months non op

the motor wasnt started, ran or anything

swapped motor into 92 hatch is there anything we should look out for? like driving it easy for certain miles or anything?

if it was a wrecked car with any front end damage, I would have looked for any cracks or damage to anything you bought.. namely the motor and tranny.

If everything looks good, and seems to be retaining all your fluids you put in, pull your ecu fuse, and your spark plug wires off your plugs and turn the car over several times to build up oil pressure. Then put it back together and start it up. Id drive a lil easy to see if you hear anything odd in the motor or trans.. and if not, then just let er' rip.

the car was rear ended and the motor is retaining fluuids and fired up first crank, but it was sitting for a little over 4 1/2 months...should i baby it or just let vtec roar?

When I first got my motor I babied it for 500 miles. Just to let everything settle in.

you can do either, just drive it nicely down to the gas station, fill her up. Then open her up on the way home.

if the motor was rebuilt then some say to baby it under 3500 rpm's for the first 500 miles or so..

Given your situation, i wouldnt worry about it and just go rip on it.
