my blitz is super hard to push open, i can see why pressure wouldn't come out. you had to use two fingers to get it moved up slightly. i guess five psi aint strong enough to push it open, i disconnected the vac line to the bov and it's not boostin anymore.

I had the type greddy type s. It sounds nice and you can adjust the sound, but its only good for like 18 psi I think.

won't adjusting the screw on top fix that problem? i don't know, i messed around with mines a lot while it was on the car and it didn't make any difference to me, but i never took it off to check how easy it was to push open.

how much were you boosting? i boosted 5 and at open throtle and high prm the damn valve doen't even move. i know it's suppose to open once the throttle is closed but it dons't. like i said mine requires two finger pushing hard just to move it. i took the whole screw on top off but still made no difference. i think they riped me off by giveing me one that doesn't work.

something must be wrong with it. at 6 psi mines was working fine, nice and loud. then after a while i went up to 8 psi and it sounded a little louder if not the same. at 12 psi it became a little louder. i couldnt figure out where to set the screw so i was always playing around with it, and where ever it was i didn't notice any changes. but like i said i never took it off and tried to push the valve open.

oh, are you sure yours doesnt have the hard spring? i kno overboost.com sells a harder spring for higher psi.

you got it wrong, i did not take it apart, just took it off the i.c. piping and pushed the valve from under. it feels like the spring in it is too hard to bee lifted by 5 pound, i can push it open but the pressure can not push it open. if your's works fine at 6 psi, then mines must be broken or something. i'm gonna trade my broken blitz for my friends type s. see the thing was, my first test drive i forgot to hook up the bov line to a vac line but to a little nipple above the mapsensor. looks like a breather or some sort, and i think something went wrong. now my car doesn't boost. turbo still spools loud, i wonder where the pressure is going, leak??

damn, the i.c. piping hose that connects to the compressor keeps blowing off, there is just no way it's releiving pressure and now i got slightly shaft play on my new turbo, is this bad???

i dont think you should run the car until you have a proper working bov. it depends on how much shaft play you have. if its just a little bit you should be o.k., but i wouldnt risk causing more damage to the turbo

yeah, very little noticable shaft play, not scraping aginst the housing or anything. i got another bov. i know thisvery cheap and one works cause it was in my friend's rx7. i'ma get it today fix it up and should be boostin right.

sorry about reviving back from the dead but i just wanted to point out that high pitch sqweeking sound made by the GReddy Type S is due to its poor flow. Do you guys know how a whistle works? Same idea. If you adjust the Type S so that the spring is really loose, it will sound like a normal BOV but when you tighten it, you get that ricer BOV sound. Type S is one of the worst BOVs on the market. Saddens me how ppl dont realize it and get it for its ricey sound lol.

If you want GReddy product, go with the RS. Flows much better, and sounds like a normal BOV, not something struggling to get air out lol

a friend of mine was telling me the same thing, and in videos i notice that some type-s bovs sound different from others, so i guess that theory might be correct. anyways, i was going to change my ss for something else, but i havent found anything that sounds as nice as it, so i decided to keep it. it sounds like a loud gush of wind with a little rattle snake sound at the end.

bovs are annoying. How about run no BOV? hehe

how tight is your BOV adjusted? im willing to bet its adjusted pretty tight because the rattle snake sound is most likely compressor stall.
