greddy....loud azz hell....everyone can here the greddy type s....i have heard both ......hks sounds like a loud silent fart....and the greddy type s is a loud ppppchccccciiiinnnnngggggg sound.....

 

LMAO I've never heard HKS described that way before! I think it sounds more like a bird chirping. But got to alltrac.net and listen for yourself

kinda agree with MiraiZ. if functionality was the only concern, we would all have DSM BOVs for 40bux on ebay

actually, if i had pieced together my own kit, thats probably what i would be using.

 

Hey dsm bov's dont sound too bad and they are cheap but i think most people buy aftermarket ones because they are gonna be running 20+ psi, right? Cause thats the only reason why i'd see having one.

 

i've never heard the greddy type S.

the extremely loud HKS i have came with my kit. otherwise id be all over ebay.
my friend just bought one for a saab for 30 bux, and a porsche wastegate for 50. nothing like a frankenstein 400$ turbo kit

 

The greddy sounds like lasers.

 

I'd pick GReddy Type-S over the HKS.

 

 

Ever wonder why there are so many DSM bov's on ebay? They leak at resonably high boost, and with a largish turbo and some boost you will get some surge, as the outlet is a bit small, and it cannot dump enough pressure fast enough.

 

went from a fc3s bov to a mr2 bov...both costed zero moneys

 

i used to have the blitz super sound and i loved it , very loud,
turbo XS is really loud to, i dont like the greddy much or hks for sound wise

 

Where is the cheapest place to get a steel type S weld on flange. I looked at a bunch of sites, but didnt find any real good deals.

 

I dunno they shouldnt be that expensive...

Greddy, got one for mine. drove a WRX this weekend with HKS and it just blows

 

i had the hks it sounds like a hampster sneezing, the gressy type s is loud as hell though. especially on a car that can make boost in neutral like a dsm, all you have to do is barely press the pedal and let off and you can hear it.

 

we-toddi really like the greddy type-s whistle but i also really love my blitz-ss bov. sounds like somebody jes socked somebody in the face. PPHHOOOOOSSSSHHHH haha i cant really describe it. but for those who have heard it im sure ya like it.
