Default rebuilt turbo, quick questions!

I just recently rebuilt my turbo! due to it having some in and out play and now it has a little side to side play instead! i hopeing that its because i have not put it on the car yet and had any oil running through it yet! iirc it has wet float bearings? either way it doesn't hit on the compressor housing wall or the exhaust housing wall when turning by hand! could anyone just confirm my thoughts are correct please? thanks for looking!

Its normal to have side to side play but it should be minimal. You just dont want any in and out movement. I purchased a brand new sc61 and its the same with the side to side play.

I just had my turbo professionaly rebuilt and it also has a small amount of shaft play. Like 1fastcoupe said, it's normal to have a very small amount of side to side, the in and out is what's bad.
