like it will move back and forth a tiny bit..enough to notice but its not like an inch of play lol

it sounds like it should be fine. just throw it on, and see what it does... FYI: my brand new garrett turbo had horrible shaft play, and i have put like 20k miles on it now without any problems...

journal turbos will have some side to side play. It needs clearance for oil
