exhaust/compressor housing and fins, that's about it. The main thing is checking for shaft play and make sure there are no fins missing. A ball bearing turbo will have no up/down or side/side shaft play and a thrust bearing turbo will have a small bit of up/down play (just a few thousands just to where it is noticable) and no side/side play. Then you just hope that the seals are not gone, the seals cannot be inspected unless removed.

if either housing is missing you will know it trust me. go to phonenixturbo.com and click on the pics of the turbos to get the general idea. The fins are on the inside of the compressors. They are basicly fan blades. If the bearings are shot or the turbo has sucked something in they will usually be damaged, missing, chipped or bent.

Oh, and check the exhaust side for any oil residue. That will give you a little indication if the oil seals are leaking or not but it is not 100%

nippels? I guess they are talking about the oil feed and return fittings. You can order the return flange from fastturbo.com or ebay for 5-15 bucks and get the fittings for the feed one and return flange to return line for a few bucks at a local hose/hydro shop. Make sure you do your research before hooking this up, you don't sound too familiar with a turbo set up and this can end up costing you alot of unneeded headache and thrown away money if not approached correctly.

even if you do, unless it's out of a honda it probably won't fit. feel free to pm me with any questions and don't forget to research the turbo you get. With most turbos you will need to reduce the pressure for the turbo feed line. Other than that -3an feed line and -10an return line is all you need along with a few fittings
