I have a venom IM for a boosted b16. Is this my best choice and why or why not.

Well since you already have it, why not use it.

Yeah, since you bought it, it's a bit to late for research unless you want to lose a bit of money.

Well if i have to loose a lil $ to gain some hp by using a different mani, i will. I only want the best. When i bought it( 2 yrs ago) it was the hottest thing out there. Technology changes. But if yall think its worth it for me to keep it than i will. Just looking for advise

well, what are your power goals?

its mainly for high flow, big boost/power motors because of the large plenum... not to mention it isnt the most aerodynamic manifold available today

My power goals is to squeeze the most hp/boost i can on 93octane. Im guessing 400hp. What are some more "aerodynamic' manifolds to look at for my goals.

I'd say use the Venom manifold, to start looking at differences in manifolds should be amongst the last things to look for.

If you want the best, get the Endyn carbon fiber unit or the Full-race. And if you just want to get to 400 whp, a stock one can get you there.

No what hes saying basically is that you already have the manifold so use it. If the stock one can get you there your venom will too.

there was a bench flow test done and the air carbon fiber manifold beat everything out, victor x, skunk 2, and something else i cant remember...

where did you get THAT assumption from ? its the same manifold. its just ties btween JG and edelbrock broke so they took the " victor X" off from the casting.

you can get the carbon fibre manifold form here: http://www.theoldone.com/compo...ifold/

but i honestly don't think its worth the $1000-1300 price tag. sure it can outperform all other intakes but who cares......you can have a AEBS, Skunk2, edelbrock, Blox which all perform excellent for MUCH MUCH less.......all the money you save from buying that AIR manifold you can spend on other things.

it's the AIR manifold, NOT endyn

that's not really true... the victor x did JUST as good as the air for the most part. i was also told there are a few area's where the AIR manifold was poorly designed. I think it'd be a $1200 mistake to purchase one, unless you just have money coming out of your ***.

and...as for 400whp, that's EASY to do on pump gas. if you really want to go all out on pump gas, pm Jdogg....he'll let in you on some information about high pump gas capabilities

Damn it, the dyno graph isn't up there anymore. The AIR made more power across the entire powerband than the Victor X. PM Boosted-Hybrid because I'm sure he has the image around somewhere still.

just keep what you have. 400whp on pump is too easy, so just run your mani.
