i have a turbo d16y7 and it started acting up on me today, idled fine for 2 weeks now all of a sudden idle jumps from 400 to 1500, also when taking it out of gear or switching gears, in neutral the rpms will stay at 2500 until i come to a full stop. What wrong? vacuum, leak? throtle cable?i also found out i blew the gasket on the turbo-headers. ( i will be replacing this tomorrow) can this have any affect? PLEASE HELP it also threw a cel for barometric metering or sumthing similar to that

You dont have a FITV so skip that... my problem was i needed to adjust my throttle screw.

But there's plenty of problems that have the same outcome with the surging idle...

try the 2nd site... run through all of it. good luck
