Default Silvia T25 turbo too big for my needs?

I heard that the Silvia stock turbo's use the same T25/T28 flange found on the Greddy turbo manifold. I am trying to get 180-200whp on a stock y7/y8 mini me setup while retaining ac and ps. I was wondering if those turbo's were too big for my needs?

The T25 should be the perfect turbo to reach your 200 hp goal.

I'm not sure at what PSI you can see that at, but they make 200 at stock boost on SR20's...so I expect a bit more PSI on your engine to reach the same

The only thign I am not sure of, is if it will fit your Greddy Manifold...I'd hafta ask someone with one/or experience with one first

Keep in mind that the T25 from the SR20DET will only be good up to 15psi. Anything over that and it will be pass its efficiency range.
You'll probably blow the seals at about 17-18psi.
Are you looking for 200whp or 200 flywheel hp?
You'll probably need at least 10psi to make 200whp.
I have some friends with sohc turbo setups and here are their numbers.

Stock D16Z6, 9psi, Garret T3, 190whp
Stock D16Z6, 11psi, Mitsu 14B, 213whp

The T25 is a bit bigger then the 14B, so I'm sure you'll need around 10psi with supporting mods.

180-200whp is good. 7-10 psi is what I would like to keep the boost at.

youll need more boost to hit that kinda power. i woudl think 11-12 200 WHP at least if its an S13/S14 T25

if its a T28 off the S15. itll do it. i think its ball bearing too !

wrong!
the t25 is definitely smaller than a 14b. i've owned both and put them side to side and the 14b is a good amount bigger than the t25. the guy got more hp from the t25 because it was tuned better, not because the turbo was bigger.

edit: actually, i looked at your post again, and noticed you quoted a motor running 9psi on a T3, not a T25. the T3 is definitely bigger than a 14b, and a monster compared to a T25.

The mitsu t25 is smaller than the 14b, but I can't say the same for anything used in a silvia.

Yeah I'm talking about the T25's and T28's from the silvias.
