WRX Turbo
what kinda of turbo comes stock on a 2002 WRX and what is its max effiecient PSI? I can't seem to find this information anywhere else.
some people say its an IHI turbo, but on this picture of one i have, i can see "TD04L" imprinted on the side of the compressor housing like it a Mitsu turbo or something. Could anybody clear this up for me? I'm prolly going to snag this turbo for a little junkyard setup i'm doing on a 91 hatch.
Thanks.

Re: WRX Turbo (WakeSpliter)
I may be mistaken but i think it's like a td04 13G or 12G, it's REALLY small and not very efficient after i think 16-18 psi on a WRX (smaller than both the dsm turbos). It's good for quick spool but i'd definetely get something bigger seeing as the greddy kit uses a 15G for the d16 motors.

Re: WRX Turbo (Unsung EM1)
I think there's a guy on this board that has this turbo on his D16. Made like ~175whp, I believe?
They're comparable to a T25...maybe even slightly smaller.

td04L. good to 14-15psi easy. great size if you want to try and keep a/c. i run mine 10-11psi daily on my d-series homemade kit. i've even cranked it to 12psi once. nice thing is that most of them that are available are most likely low miles since they are so new.
i wouldn't mind getting ahold of another one for backup.
