Default Help Please - Rotor/ wheel studs wobble- How to fix???

Hey, i noticed my rotor and wheel studs all move around and wobble a little bit. The brake dust shield stays in one place though. If i hold the rotor, or the wheel when its on, theres a significant amount of play. Can anyone guide me in the right direction here, im getting my car tuned tomorow- Is it ok to drive on it like this? I already drove like 100 miles with it like that?? ?

thanks

Check to make sure your lugnuts are torqued.

I would also check your ball joints

Are the two screws that hold the rotor in place still there? When some people swap rotors they leave the 2 rotor screws off, which leaves only the lug nuts to hold the rotor in place. When you remove the wheel, the rotor will have play untill you mount the wheel back.

If you do have the rotor screws in place, then maybe your wheel bearings are shot.

Thoses screws dont do a anything once the wheel is on and tight. THey are used at the fatory to keep everything from moving around. A lot of car dont come with any sort of screw.

If the lug nuts are tight, but you can wobble the wheel around check all of your suspension, espically the lower ball joints as stated above. Make sure the pins are in place to keep the king nut from backing off.

Also check the wheel bearings. If the bearing has gone the you might be able to see some grease around the bearing.
