Help with Installing Intake????
I got my ebay intake and i got a K/N filter for my LS Teg. It didn't come with install directions. I know theres a hose from the intake tube goes to the valve cover, but when i look at the hose on the valve cover and stock intake it looks like theres 2 hoses connected together. The Ebay tube only has one hole pertruding from it, and came with blue tube. I got brackets also but no bolts, can anyone help me out with this intake installation??
I figured i might be able to just try to install that vacum line on the intake, are there any other hoses connected to the intake or thats it? also where do the brackts go to hold up the intake?

First start off by removing the stock air box/tube by unbolting the c-clamp from the TB ( there most likely ar 2 bolts holding the bottom half of the air box to the inner wheel well)
Then install the new intake to the TB
Connect the vaccum line supplied to the intake and then to the valve cover, the other small tube doesnt need to be connected, but if you are really paranoid go buy a t fitting and more vacuum line and hook it up too ( i didnt never had a problem)
And there ya go...very very simple 5 minute installation..now enjoy the sound and WOT...

When i first got my 91 GS, i wasnt sure about the intake b/c of the ABS system, and this local ricer garage convinced me i had to get a special intake b/c of the ABS, ripped me off 150 bucks... then tried to charge me another 150 to install it...
I got suckered for the first 150, but i definetely installed it msyelf.

I got it installed, i didnt use the brackets. the only question is on the valve cover where the vacum line comes out into the intake, there is a another line underneath thats connected to it but it goes to somthing else, thats connected still but i used the tube that was given to me to connect it to the valve cover since the actual vacum line didnt fit. Now the thing is i have that vavum line sitting on the new vacum line and it gets hot, is it gonna melt or will i be just fine.
dude that other line is a line that sends coolant to your intake manifold, so it will get hot. dont worry about it. i actually removed that whole metal thing and replaced it with just hoses for coolant to the manifold and from the valve cover to the intake tube.
I know on my da the extra hose that he is talking about is connected into the stock intake tube, it has nothing to do with coolant as it is a very small vacuum line...
