already completed the OBDI to OBDII. But now I want to go with a p28 ecu. Do I still need both wires? How do I pin it into the OBDI ecu harness and will I have and check lights? Thanks.

No need for knock sensor with a P28 ECU. nor do you need the crank fluctuation sensor, second 02 sensor, etc. that all go with OBDII stuff.

BTW: I'm not saying knock sensor is OBDII specific. Just that the P28 will not read for it or OBDII crap

Goto Honda and ask if you can buy/have some ECU pins.
