Default K-series - Induction: Best of both worlds

The above pics represent our newest addition to the fine peripherals to be used in testing our various development motors, both NA and FI. As you can see, the plenum and velocity stacks are modular. We'll be testing this first on our 2140cc turbo dev platform. Later on, we'll be testing it on the other NA dev motors: 2100cc, 2240cc, 2415cc and 2672cc.

Hayward Performance custom fabricated this fine induction system based upon their own castings for the plenum and throttle body manifold. They are the North American distributor for Jenvey and feature their individual throttles exclusively in all Hayward Performance applications.

Damn, I'm not really an ITB kinda guy (either definition ), but that's sick. I'd love to see how it does on the big-bore 2.2 & 2.6 k's. Only thing I can see about it that sucks, is that it probably costs more than my entire 12-second d-series will cost me.

If you need a d-series to test the 'modularity' of the interchangable head flange, hook me up

Awesome... Sure beats my DIY plenum I made for my ITB's w/ boost

I am really forward to looking how they perform on the K-series motor with boost

What will be the engine setup? Stock compression and cams?

Here's the threads pertaining to the bottom end:

There are pros and cons to everything. The 2140cc turbo dev platform is something I wanted try: a destroked K24 with the 86mm K20A2 crank. It's overbored to 89mm, which goes against conventional wisdom. For production class FI engine combos, I sacrifice the added bore for thicker cylinder walls and leave them max 87mm after resleeving. If there was any test designed to fully stress the "open deck" approach, this is going to be it. Lastly, the primary reason for this combination is to complete testing for our turbo cam applications. The bottom end is built to withstand high boost/rpm and removes the previous performance ceiling we had during our preliminary testing on a stock RSX-S:

Flat out sick. If I am not mistaken there are probably only about 2 companies out making any kind of noise with the K-Series individual setups.

This looks by far the best.
