sorry, d16z6, hf mani, td05h, internal gate, homemade bc

initially hits 13 psi then higher rpm(5000+) tappers off to 10...would changing my vacuum source to the intake manifold make any difference you think? currently i have it off the compressor housing

No, compressor housing is great for internal gates, that's how mine is. I think your turbo is too small.

Na, 13psi isn't even touching its efficiency to be honest. Just sounds like a boost controller problem and or a boost leak. My car is doing the same damn thing right now. 15 psi, back to 12... a week ago it held 18 perfectly. And I can't find anything wrong with it.

Mine goes up to 10 and then almost immediately goes down to 8 psi. I have the same kind of MBC.

MBC's suck. I have similar problems. Spikes to 12 and settles at 10psi. Td04-13t with hf manifold and external wastegate conversion.

he should get more boost by switching to the intake manifold. I always saw about 1psi less running from the compressor housing due to the pressure drop across the intercooler.

Yeah but it will still to the drop thing, He can just turn the boost up on the MBC for more boost but it wont fix the problem. At least I don't think.

maybe you need a boost controller with a gain function.
