whats the best way to seal a oil leak

Default whats the best way to seal a oil leak

i have a oil leak from my feed line. i tryed teflon tape it didnt really work all so my feed line for coolant is leaking slightly. it all so has teflon tape. is there any way to seal these from the out side with out removing the fitting. the oil feed isnt to bad the the coolant line will be a bitch. coul i maybe lock tite the fitting would that work better then tape. suggestions?

Loc-tite isn't meant to make a water-tight seal. If you want to seal the threads, you could try some liquid gasket like Permatex or Hondabond. Although, it would be best to disassemble the fittings, clean them thoroughly, and reassemble them with the liquid gasket. You could try just applying the liquid gasket to the outside of the fittings, but it may not set up correctly without a clean surface.
