need help with pipes
I bought a bunch of aluminized steel U-bends from JC Whitney for ~15 each. I think I used up a total of 4 bends, and a small piece of straight to do the piping on my integra.
I just had a chopsaw with a metal cutting wheel, a bench grinder and belt sander to clean up the seams to weld, and a crappy welder to tack weld them. Technically you just need something to cut them, and just mark them if you're having them welded someplace else. A band saw is also good for cutting piping, and I've even known people who've used just a sawzall.
Just make sure to cut at the proper angles on the bent parts, or you'll end up with crazy ovals that won't fit properly to anything.
